Where to start, in January i want to watercool my pc, currently i have a water cooled fixed loop? sealed loop? corsair 100i

But id like to cool gfx/gpu with a custom setup

but this would be the first time ever attempting this, so question is, where do i start? Money isnt a problem id like some high quality components if/when i do it

Help me out ocuk!

My Rig Is:
3.4 i5 Haswell w/ h100i watercooler.
8GB 1600mhz Alexir Red Ram
ASUS Geforce 680GTX TOP CU II 2GB
ASUS Maximus GENE IV Mobo
Seasonic 550w G-Series
120gb SSD for OS
1TB Western Cavaliar Storage

I'll be upgrading to 16gb/800 gpu (when out) and a new Devils canyon all being well to!

Case is a big deciding factor when it comes to WCing. What case do you currently have and would you consider changing to a different one specifically for the loop?

Haha great image in my head now.

Well based on the fact that you prefer small cases and have a GENE motherboard I would suggest a PARVUM SYSTEMS S2.0 case for your water build. Plenty of radiator space and it's a joy to work with, not to mention its good lucks too!

Everything you've quoted above will fit with ease into this case. It gives you the option to run 2 x 240mm radiators with 45mm thick rads up top and I believe 60mm thick upfront depending on your pump/res mounting position.

Nearly went for one of these too aha!

So what am i essentially cooling cpu and the gpu? i dont need to do anything else really do i?

Ha! It's not too late to buy one now ;)

Yes, the only 2 components that you're really concerned with is the cpu and the gpu. The motherboard and Ram don't really need cooling as they don't get that hot. People usually cool them for the looks rather than practicality.

The 2 x 240mm rads should be good for SLI/Xfire setups too as I have found out, temps are still great!

Your setup should be:

RES ---> PUMP ---> COMPONENT 1 ---> COMPONENT 2 ---> RAD 1 ---> RAD 2 ---> RES

The res should always come before the pump so the coolant will flow freely into the pump, that's the simplest loop you can do.

What sort of setup in full would you recommend?
