Hi Guys,

Just want some advice on what parts I can cool with a small-ish rad. I've got a core i7 930, and a ATI 6990. All in a mid-tower case... (cheapish case that I had from before) I'm sure that rads this sort of size should fit:

I'd like to be able to cool both the 6990 and the CPU. The 6990 will spend most of its time overclocked to 900-1000mhz. (Both cores)

I've found an EK waterblock that should handle that. I just want an idea of the best rad for the job here, & advice on any other parts, I would like to make the install as easy as possible, so kits are certainly an option for me, I'm not too bothered about customizing it to the max.

I should be able to provide pics of what I've got to work with at some point this weekend.

Also worth mentioning, I'm going for silence here more than huge cooling performance - although I obviously don't expect them to be sitting at 90 all day!

Cheers.

If you are planning on cooling both the CPU and VGA in the same loop this rad is a bit on the small side this would do for only one of the items you want to cool.

xspc rx kit would do you, either the 240 or 360 version, a single thin rad like you posted will not cut it for cpu and gpu

Single rad, especially a stealth rad, will not handle a cpu and overclocked dual graphics card. You should be looking at at least a PA120.3 for that.

What case do you have?

Guys.

Thanks so much for the great responses.

If that radiator I mentioned in the initial post won't cut it, it looks like I may have to go full tower. I just don't think theres any space in there.

My case is cheapo:

Quite tight on space there. I guess I could go external with the rad? Isn't there ways to attach it to the back of the case? Anyone had any experiences with that?
