Hi All,

My current rig has 3 x Samsung SATA SSDs which I'm keeping but I've bought a WD Black 1TB M.2 NVMe drive which will go in my new mobo and be used to boot from as well as a couple of games. Should I not connect my existing SSDs until I've installed Windows 11 on the M.2 then connect the SATA drives as one of them is currently the boot drive?

Cheers

Would say its good practice, i fell foul of this in the past ended up with the mbr on the wrong drive.

And me! I would like to add that you can get some other strange results from having multiple windows boot drives. They seem to play nice for a while but usually (for me) something borks with the start up files. Perhaps move the data and clean the drive when convenient.
