Corsair Carbide 400R Midi Tower Case - Black @ £79.99 inc VAT

CA-056-CS_400.jpg

The 400R has been carefully designed to provide a generous amount of internal volume, and it puts that volume to good use. There’s room for eight PCI-E cards of up to 316mm in length, and even room for a full 240mm radiator for compatibility with the Hydro Series H100 Liquid CPU Cooler and modular watercooling systems. Superior airflow is a requirement for high-performance components that will be regularly pushed to their limits, so the 400R has ten fan mounting points for cooling flexibility. Three 120mm fans — two in the front, and one in the rear — are included, so you’re ready to start building right out of the box.
Support for USB 3.0 and 2.5” SSDs is built-in. Two USB 3.0 connectors are provided on the front panel and connect directly to motherboards with compatible USB 3.0 headers. Integrated SSD support lets you install 2.5” solid-state drives in any of the hard drive bays, without having to deal with adapters.
The beauty on the inside goes beyond the black-painted interior. Corsair’s innovative cable management system provides a straightforward way to route cables behind the motherboard, not across it where it can interfere with airflow and give your system a cluttered look. And since looks are an important part of any build, you’ll appreciate the ability to turn the front panel fan white LEDs on or off with the push of a button.

nice deal on a great case.

another winner from Corsair.

nice to see us in there before anyone else too :)

corsair seem to be doing really well on the pc case front, all of there case's get very good reviews and hope they carry on these great case's.

Looks like an excellent case considering the price, I'd prefer it over my CM 690 II Adv. ;) Corsair seem to be bringing out new cases every day, I never thought they'd expand much from the 800D, good job that they did though. ;)

For looks it has nothing on the 650D/800D. Rounded corners and lumpy changes in height... very old fashioned IMO. Just too clunky. More like a gaming case. But I'm sure certain people will like it. Those ugly gaming cases seem to sell like crazy for some reason. Never understood it. To me, a case should be absolutely linear, clean and minimalist in style and finish. But maybe that's just me.

This. I'm sure it costs more to make it look nasty. But still, i'm sure this is a great case underneath, and there'll be a decent market for it. Just at this price i'd take the CM-690 II any day.

Exactly what I was thinking. The 650D looks fantastic. Very seriously considering getting one.

Does this case have a windowed version?

Apparently not according to that review video.

I don't like the style, but I like the practicality of this case... a lot! I find the styling on the top of the front panel doesn't match the rest of the angular case.
