erm.......it doesn't do anything for me. The pose and angle is odd.
As for the lens' capability, its sharp and shows of the DOF well.

sharpness of the picture is good but the overall picture does nothing for me either. keep experimenting though

Not something you are probably going to sell or hang in a gallery, but it's a nice picture and certainly worth developing of an album (if that's what you do).
I like it and it shows off what that lens can do.
I've just got this lens as well and to be honest I think it's fantastic, especially of the money.

What you wanna do is get someone else to hold some chicken above its face when its sat up then get the shot of the cats eye. that will be some nice dof! plus give the cat the chicken after u tight ass!!

Phoenix_Cosmos has the right idea Mark, You have the best equipment now you just need to get the composition correct which can be an @rse sometimes.
I had someone offering this pup a goody then got this shot which is ok IMO..
I quite like it, cute amimals etc
I would try to get the DOF to include the whole face though, because at the mo the eye is drawn to the paw a bit and the nose, which si at the middle bottom of the shot
rule of thirds and great DOF? might have worked a bit better for me

Lens is excellent...I have it to. Photo isn't really interesting but its all about practice
