The tower CPU Cooler “Tranquillo” uses 4 power heat pipes and a special heat pipe constellation to achieve best heat transfer from CPU core to the aluminium fins in its class. After precise software simulation and calculation during the development stage a unique heat sink shape was created to lower air flow resistance as much as possible.
A silent 120mm fan with the intelligent GELID PWM (Pulse Width Module) control has been chosen to make this heat sink more valuable. The fan blades were optimised to guarantee high airflow while running silently. The intelligent GELID PWM curve keeps the fan silent when no necessary cooling is needed and accelerates the fan speed whenever additional cooling is needed. The multi-award winning high performance GC-2 thermal compound is already included in the package.
Additionally mounting clips for AMD 754/ 939/ 940/ AM2/ AM2+ and for Intel 775, 1366 and latest 1156 sockets as same as back plates for Intel LGA 775, Core i5 and Core i7 boards are all included.

I really want to see a review where someone actually uses a better fan, ie Apache, as it seems this cooler has a lot of potential. I'd bevery keen if this performed as well as a megahalems, for example.

The cooler actually performs about 1 degree worse than the Titan Fenrir, but is much quieter. (All with the supplied fan)

So upgrading the fan should give much better cooling I imagine.

This is practically inaudible, my case fans are now letting the team down, at my day to day speed of 3.2 1.35v on my Q6600 G0 barely breaks 50c. Not bad, considering my old zalman cooler would load @ 70c.

Well worth the paltry £20.00

Does anyone have any idea how much quieter this would be than the stock Phenom II cooler (not the heatpipe cooler that comes with the X4 but the all aluminium cooler that comes with the X2 and most Athlon processors)?

I think better cooling is a certainty as the stock cooler is a bit rubbish.

Thanks.

Sorry to bump this thread, but is there any ETA on new stock? Great cooler for the price :(

If not, what else could you recommend for around the same price ? :p

Seems to be no stock on route to Europe.

Struggling to get any.

The Coolermaster 212 is good for the price point or the Akasa Nero v2.
