Ok, so I'm taking the plunge and am going to watercool my system. You can see my rig at the moment in my signature. It might help to know I have an Antec P182, which has the two holes at the back for watercooling pipes (or at least that's what I've always figured they're for!). OK, I'll sort of list my queries etc. Bear in mind I have read the beginners articles for watercooling. I'm just going to be extra thorough as I'm quite nervouse about making this move.

1. I want to watercool the entire system, GPU, CPU and northbridge. What parts will I need to do this? I'm guessing, waterblock for the CPU and GPU, radiator, resevoir & pump and tubing. What will I need to cool the northbridge? Another waterblock?

2. What pump would you recommend to cool all of this?

3. What is the best waterblock for a cpu currently on the market

4. Is it the radiator which recools the liquid?

Money is no object for this. Basically, a thorough detailed response would be awesome, many thanks in advance for taking the time to help :)

It might help to say, I plan on upgrading fairly soon to the i7 hardware too. Will this affect my decision of waterblock for the CPU?

Also, do radiators come with the fans or must you add them?

Ok, many thanks for that! Will take this all into account! What VGA block would you recommend for a 3870x2... is there even one being sold on ocuk?
Also, can anyone recommend a waterblock for my northbridge? MB is in my signature, can I just use any waterblock like one of the ones for the CPU?
Or do I have to use one of the blocks under the "misc. blocks" tab on ocuk? Many thanks once again for time taken to help here :) X

OK, if I go for the TJ07, will the d5 be ok then? If so, the setup I'd then be getting goes as follows

Case : Silverstone Temjin TJ07B-W Aluminium Tower Case with Window - Black

Pump : Swiftech Laing D5 Vario MCP655 12V DC Pump

Radiator : Thermochill PA120.2 120mm Double Radiator

CPU waterblock : EK Supreme i7 Acetal

NB waterblock : Swiftech MCW30 Chipset Waterblock

Resevoir : EK Multioption Reservoir 150

Fans : Noctua NF-S12 800RPM 120mm Silent Case Fan

I'll give ebay a rinse for a VGA block, otherwise I'll just have to stick with having it on air for the moment, untill I get a 295 when they come out

Awesome, thanks so much for all of your help so far! Is there any other radiator you might recommend? As the 120.3 and .2 are both out of stock EVERYwhere I look :(

Awesome, on the looks basis I'm going to go with the tj07. OK I'll wait for the .3 to come back in stock. I'm just wondering though what's the point going watercooling when you need at least 2 fans running at 120 cfm which isn't quiet... seems to negate the idea of watercooling really :( Unless your just trying to go really cool whereas I'm more just looking for stealth ;)

Wow, ok, yeh totally got the wrong idea about the fans. Nice setup Fornow! Looks really good. Again, horrendously newbie question, how much liquid would I need for this setup? with the 120.3, CPU, GPU, northbridge etc.? Also, just how necessary is the northrbidge w/c? I mean, on my PC atm I dont' have a problem with temps at the NB but if I were to update to i7 and say an Asus P6T Motherboard, might I get issues? I would've thought overclocking an i7 on water would give me a lot of OC headroom but it would push the NB to higher levels too where I'd need water? I dunno, just my thinking, again, I don't know next to anything about this so please correct if I'm wrong! =D thanks again for all of the input thus far :)

OK, I'm going for the Silverstone TJ07, D5 pump, found a 120.3 ^^, the EK multioption resevroir and 3 bottles (3 litres) of Feser and an EK Supreme. The only thing I now need to know is what fittings and piping will I need to get? :/

OK, erm, like I said, I'm *completely* new to this w/c thing, could you help me with barbs and fittings I'd need? As I really have no idea what I'd need as the EK Supreme doesn't come with any, how much tubing would I need, 2 metres? Once again, just like to thank you for your help thus far :)

Heh, no problem! Although you seem to be abit more knowledgeable than me! Although Fornow seems to be recommending going for 7/16! Hope you get yours sorted! :)

Actually, another question, just thinking about it, where will I put the resevoir? As it's not a bay resevoir? Will there be space for it in the case? I'm now wondering if I should instead go for the XSPC double bay resevoir

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showp...t=1040&name=XSPC UV Blue Double Bay Reservoir

Over the EK Multioption 150

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showp...subcat=1040&name=EK Multioption Reservoir 150

The only thing I saw is, the XSPC says something about 1/4" thread... does that mean it takes different tubing or something? As Fornow said I should go for the 7/16" tubing... Again, my newbness is getting the better of me. I definately prefer the XSPC double bay resevoir as it looks like it'll be far easier to get into the case than the EK Multioption. Again, help greatly appreciated with this!

OK awesome! Will I need any fittings for the CPU Block or will it come with them, the same for the res. Will either of these come with any barbs / fittings? Also, just to clarify, a barb and fitting are the same thing right? The fitting being the end which attaches to the component, the barb being the end the hose goes onto? Also, I know the 7/16 tubing is good as it forms a tight fit on 1/2 inch fittings, however, I can only seem to find 1/2 inch fittings. I was told these would be fine but I'm just confirming, that for example

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showp...49&name=PrimoChill Barbed T - UV Green - 1/2"

I can use that fitting with 7/16 inch hosing?
