I am looking at a watercooling setup (CPU only), I wondered if its best to just get a kit such as the new OCUK one here

Or there is an Alphacool NexXxoS Cool Answer 240 LT/ST - kit which seems to be quite good.
But I saw the pump and rad on offer in black friday:
Laing 18W DDC-Pump 12V DDC-1T Plus = £45
Hardware Labs Black ICE Radiator GTX-Lite 240 = £27
and wondered if by using these I could get a better setup for not much more? Upto £150 I also have 4 barbs already.
Its a corsair 300R case so kinda limited to a 240 rad.
Any thoughts or specs would be great

Even with a 300R you might need to mod the top/front a little to fit a 240 rad.
I had it before and remember that fitting a AIO like H100 was apparently a no go without slight modification.

I thought when I looked at it that I might need to drill holes in the top to move it accross a bit, but its hard to tell with a big heatsink in the way, I will be determined to fit it though lol

So could I get a much better setup for £150 or am I best just getting a kit?

Personally I'd get the Laing pump over a pump / ress combi. They are good pumps with interchangeable tops so will be easier to incorporate should you decided to expand your loop at a later date.

Yeah I was thinking a DDC or D5, probably DDC due to price and prefer the thought of a tube res.

I'm unsure if buying second hand water cooling stuff is a good idea, as a leak would obviously be pretty bad.
