Hi I am in the process of building my new system and I have turned my attention to cooling .
Basically is gonna cool my QX6850 1 maybe 2 GPU's and the mobo .
I checked out and priced up a air cooling system 5 80mm Noctua NF-R8 fans , Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme , which comes to just over £100 also my worry is I will be putting the tower under the desk where there is restricted air flow so I was wondering if there is a kit that would suit or maybe one I can put together myself I dont mind paying upto £200 the only thing I will say is I would prefer not to have separate units like the Zalman Reserator's but I am open to fixing to the tower.

My tower is an antec plusview1000 AMG its Farley roomy the existing fan arrangement is 2 at the back 1 on the side and 2 at the front one in front of the hard drive bays the other below.

So any input would be great.;)

Do you want to cool for silence or performance? Do you mind hacking your case up to fit the cooling? What else do u have in your case?

Both really ive been told the cpu gets rather ot and the sock cooler doesnt cut it

As you can see there is 2 lower bays which will house 3 maybe 4 hard drives and above them is the dvd rom bays x4 which I will be using 2,

You could squeeze a PA120.2 in the top. Take out the lower HDD cage and you could get a PA160 in there too. A PA 120.2 will be enough to cool SLI/Crossfire and the motherboard if you so wish. The PA160 will be enough for the quad but not fantastic performance for overclocking.

So 2 loops

PA160 for CPU
PA120.2 for everything else.

But if case cooling is going to be an issue then just the PA120.2 for the CPU. Removing the lower HDD cage and put in a 120mm fan. Plus cut out the restrictive fan grills at the back.

I will look into it but I forgot to mention the upper hd cage holds the floppy drive sho I will need the lower cage for the extra 1 or 2 drives.
