Well, Ive got my hands on a Digital Camera, so I thought I'd post some pics of my first watercooling setup I installed a few weeks back:

You have to excuse some of the tubing, as when I first installed this it was a different motherboard, and te DFI board as you all know have a different layout to most, the CPU mounting is turned through 90' compared to my old board, and the CPU/PCI slots are close - hence use of cable ties and 1 nylon clip to prevent kinks and enable me to get the side panel on :) I will drain and re-cut those tubes at some point, just not now, lol!

edit: my camera skills are poor too :o

yeah I wasnt sure about the chrome at first, was a toss-up between that and a black aquacomputer one, but the buttons on my case have the chromed bevelled edge to them so i thought I'd pick up on that...

only thing I found with that grill is where its been laser cut, they hadnt filed off some of the burrs fully before plating, and the back side of the grill in particular was pretty rough, so I had to do a bit of clean-up on it.

thanks for the nice comments.

I think now Im a bit more confident with the way its all set up, when I do get around to altering the tubing (I might even wait for when I upgrade to conroe etc) I think I may do away with a bay res and just put a T-Line for filling and top-up in there, as I'd like the 5.25 bay for another silentmaxx to accomodate a big storage drive (dont wanna use the 3.25 for HDD's as it contains pump and wiring bits). Although I spose I could get a double 3.25 res...

Maybe its just me, or is there always something you wanna change, it always seems to be "just about right" :p

dont think a NB HS will fit in there, maybe if I moved GFX to the second PCIx slot, tbh the fan isnt that noisy anyway. its the Raptor that makes the most noise and thats in the silenmaxx anyway

might add 2 silent 80mm in the back, not much need for it atm, temps are fine.

I have the two fans on the rad blowing straight down into the heart of the case, and a 120mm fan in the front exhausting - in addition the 120mm fan from the PSU extracts any stagnant air from that side of the case.

well I'll think about the NB but its not really needed atm :)

no the IHS is left on, Ive reached the limit of my CPU/Mobo/RAM with decent temps with it ON, so dont see any point in takin it off tbh :)

Im sure the Nexxxos would work very well as the way its retained with the screw applying direct pressure to the middle of the block would ensure a nice contact on the core of the CPU - you'd have to be very careful not to put too much and crush it though :)

Yep its a DD HDPU bay res.

its a laing DDC 12v Ultra with the plexi top.

it came with de-coupling bolts to fit into the HDD cage, but tbh, they sucked and I could hear vibrations, so I just wedged the thing in there with some acoustic foam either side, jobs a goodun !
