i am finally geting round to building my first WC build and here it is:

i am using the ocuk guide to help me through.

components:
CM 690III case
asrock Z97 extreme 7 mobo
intel core i5 4690k cpu
16 gig of 2400 mhz kingston beast ram
256 gig ultra m.2 ssd drive
dvd rw drive
seasonic 550 watt gold psu
geforce GTX 970 gpu
soundblaster HD titanium soundcard

WC kit:
OCUK value 240 mm watercooling starter kit.

first i took pictures of my kit and case with rad installed and rear fan.

i decided to push the air out the front of my case and bring cool air from the rear of the case.

nearly there:

not bad at all, its a shame that they don't do the kits for the 1366 socket (got a I7 950) otherwise I would have got one for my system by now.

how did you find fitting it as I have been tempted by water cooling but never gone near it before lol

the loop is filled and running nicely. no leaks so far but i'll leave it 6-7 hours and check again.

will the tiny airbubbles go over time?

it was ok, took me ages to be fair as i was following the guide on ocuk and taking my time. i was a little nervous and got the flow wrong the first time and had to switch the pipes round after draining the fluid off. but now its all in i'm please with it.

few early points:

case is ok for wc and the rad could have fitted at the top, however, with the m.2 ssd and further additional m.2 ssd being added onto mobo, doing away with the hdd cage makes it look good.

the pump or vibrations are noisey. the fittings on the xspc reservior and the combination of my case means its held in with 1 screw. it might means its the vibration that is the noise or the pump. i expected some noise but not this noisy. it is also on my table too which is oak so that might be amplifying the noise a little.

overall, glad i took the plunge and can see myself getting more stuff in the coming months, first thing is to get some royal blue colouring if i can.

go for it and follow the guides, they are excellent.
