Hi guys,

I've just received my order from OC including an i7 2700k CPU, an Asrock Extreme 4 Gen 3 Mobo and the OCUK v12 watercooling kit.

First things first, should I install the PC with the retail fan to make sure it all works first? If so, should I go as far as installing the OS, or just make sure it boots into the BIOS?

Cheers,

Jed.

I installed it all and it booted into the BIOS with no trouble.

Now onto the watercooling kit ... I've bought the OCUK v12 kit:

Any recommendations on where to fix the pump in a Corsair 800D case?

I'm assuming my loop needs to be:

Radiator to CPU
CPU to Pump
Pump to Reservoir Bay
Reservoir Bay back to Radiator.

Also, the tube is really tight when I try to fit it over the barbed fittings. Should I make sure it's attached tightly before attaching to the CPU? I'm assuming putting to much pressure on the CPU if I'm pushing the tubing on is a bad thing :)

The pump has a plate attached with 2 screw holes. I guess I'll take a look and see where it would fit easily and drill some pilot holes? How else can I attach it - double sided sticky foam?

Right then guys, I'll all connected. How do I start the watercooling bit without turning the PC on? I don't have the PSU bridging connector ...

It's all going well so far, full reservoir, no leaks and no bubbles. Just some froth at the top of the reservoir. Do I need to worry about this?

All up and running, left it overnight and no leaks. Win 7 Pro 64bit installed, the long process of updates and installation begins!

Currently running at stock and the CPU is a nice and cool 36 degrees. I'll start overclocking later :)

Been running at 4.5GHz for a couple of days with no issues, CPU at a nice cool 39 Degrees at the moment. I'll try pushing it a bit more later on in the week :)
