Fisheye lenses

I'm pondering a fisheye lens but i'm not sure that I would get £300-400 worth of use out of it to plump for a Sigma or Canon. I've seen some wacky looking Russian manual efforts on eBay but they're fully manual which grates with my professionally lazy attitude

Any thoughts or should I just try and get some work done rather than surfing for things I don't need?

Renting one for a couple of days or a week or so might be worthwhile if you're not sure whether you definitely want one or not.

Peleng do a very highly regarded 8mm f/3.5 that's dead cheap too. Manual everything but at 8mm you have loads of DOF so focusing doesnt matter much.
