I thought there was a thread for these, but couldn't find it...

My mum is after a new fitness tracker since her Fitbit broke. It only really needs to track her walks, but a HRM would perhaps be nice. Price not really an object, it will be for her birthday, so I'd just like to get a good one.

Funnily enough, today I got an email from Fitbit offering me to pre-order the Charge 3. Is this a good one? Anything already out that is better?

I have a charge 2 here Andy and it is a really good bit of kit, has the HRM on it also has sleep tracking and then all the normal steps,stairs etc

Note : The ALTO does NOT do Floors climbed

did you look at smart watch thread in GD , at the £150 price level I would be looking at Amazfit stratos,
haven't they got so much more with the different faces, music, and the 'basic' fitness tracking.

[I ended up getting a Suunto last month though, because I needed reliable swimming lap counting ]

So it turns out she didn't want anything that expensive, so I went with one of those rather generic ones (I think it was Mpow, rated well on Amazon) so we'll see how that goes...

as long as she got something she wanted buddy, glad you got there in the end as it is a minefield
