Fitting a Clifford Alarm

You'll be hard pressed to get a professional installer to fit something they have not provided you.

i would imagine an independant certified person will fit it.

do you need thatcham certification for your alarm warrenty? if so, make sure its fitted by someone certified.

It will cost you more to buy it from the states and have it installed than it would to go and get one from a clifford dealer. + The uk dealer will give you a warranty.

I'm going back quite a while but the relation shoudl still be valid

+a few other bits & bots ;)

Trade price for all this=£400 plus me giving my mate (a clifford dealer) 2 full days of my time to help him install it.

Retail=@£1200 :eek:

The installers time is usually rated at £50-75 per hour. Most basic Clif's take 3-4 hours min to install PROPERLY.

BTW, Clifford's from the USA are usually different than UK spec.

got a cobra alarm fitted on my golf, it went wrong a week last friday (car wouldnt lock when the alarm was armed - having to lock it using the key as i would have done before the alarm was fitted)

came back from stafford today over huge pot holes that have developed on the road into notts from J24 of the M1 and was shocked when the car locked after i armed the car on the drive :D

as said, people tend not to install alarms they havnt provided themselves, you might get them to install it but you wont get a warrenty i wouldnt imagine :/
