Fitting a HDD in the rear drive bay?

I have a HP Elite 8000 Small Form Factor machine that I'm 'attempting' to install a HDD (3.5'') in to the rear drive bay under the PSU, the bay appears to be about 1cm too wide for the standard drive to fit

I have followed the instructions in the manual, and there is no mention of a drive fitting kit (rails or anything similar)

I've raised a log with HP, and they tell me that a drive cannot be fitted under the PSU on this model, which is absolute tripe as the instructions state it, and there is a massive sticker under the lid detailing the installation!

Has anyone else come across this issue? It is a fairly common machine, so I'm hoping there is someone on here that can help

Thing is, the space for the drive is actually too big! So it sits in there and just flops about!

Seems like HP are refusing to believe that a HDD can be fitted in this position! Contradicting their own publications!

Anyone any ideas?
