Happy Easter all,

I made a similar thread in the motherboard section: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17997521

I have a Noctua NH-U12P cpu cooler since i have lost the nuts needed to take my motherboards heatsinks off would it be possible to fit the CPU cooler with out the large black backplate such as just using something each screw could screw into?

Really need some help as i have been without a pc for 4 days and i'm having withdrawal symptoms :p

It's not the nuts for the CPU cooler. It's the nuts to keep the motherboard's heat sinks in place. I have to remove the motherboards copper backplate to install the cpu cooler. But once i remove the backplate the motherboards heatsinks which cool the north and south bridge become loose and will not be effective at cooling.

I have sent gigabyte an email asking if they can send me some nuts but they haven't replied yet. If they are standard screws then maybe i can buy them somewhere :)

Thanks for your reply tho :)

Went to B&Q, homebase and ******es and non of them have the really small nuts i need. Think my only other option now is to phone gigabyte and hope they can sort me out :(

It should all fit on my motherboard :) just lost the stupid nuts that come with the motherboard :(

I hope gigabyte can help if they can't I'll ring ocuk just on the off chance they can help me :p If all else fails i will buy a new motherboard lol
