Hi guys,

I recently bought a case that included a front mounted temp display. I hadn't intended to bother using it, but now that it is here I figured I may as well.

It has one little cable thermometer thingy for the hdd, so I have attached that close to the hard disks. My question is regarding the cpu one, where do I fit the thermometer? do I have to take off the heatsink and put it under that a little bit? or would it be good enough to tuck it next to the heatsink?

Im guessing if you placed it under the heatsink you would cause an air gap which which mess up your cooling massivly. So I would say thats a big no no.

Do not put it under the heatsink! Maybe put it in the fins of the heatsink, not sure if that would give a good reading though.
