About six months ago I bought an 280mm AIO cooler on impulse as it was cheap, haven't got round to fitting it yet. I really need to though as CPU temps are high and my current huge air cooler is mounted a bit awkward.
Been doing some research about how to set it up, mounting the radiator etc and I'm a bit concerned about how to physically install it. I have a fairly oldschool case (Chieftec Blue Dragon), it doesn't have fan holes at the top/bottom, just the back and one fan in the side panel. From what I can ascertain the best place to put the rad is probably at the front but I can see that being awkward even with the 3.5" bays removed, 5.25 might get in the way. There's no obvious mounting points and the airflow will be pretty restricted.
Now I'm not too fussed about how things look, my computers have cables all over the place, mismatched colours etc, but I don't want to run into problems with the cooling. I'm tempted to just whack it in and secure it with a cable tie or something, has anyone else done something like this?
