Fitting an ATX mobo into the Styx?

Here's the deal: I'm refurbishing an old gaming PC that was top-tier **** back in 2009, with the LGA 1366 x58 Intel chipset. I need to replace the case because the old one is damaged. In case you're not aware, it's INCREDIBLY difficult nowadays to get parts of that chipset because of how quickly it was discontinued, especially motherboards.

The motherboard, though, is ATX. This sucks because I really want to build a compact system (there's only one fairly small graphics card and I have a low-profile CPU cooler to use) and there are basically no compact ATX cases that look good (the Aerocool GT-RS chassis is perfect for what I want but god DAMN does that case look like arse).

I really like the look and layout of the Raijintek Styx, but it's a micro-ATX case. The thing is, in every photo of it I see, it REALLY looks like an ATX mobo would physically fit as long as you don't have a top radiator or fans (which I don't plan to). Would it be possible to do a minor mod, drilling new holes or something, in order to put the ATX mobo in there? Does anyone have this case? Would it even fit?

Any answers or advice appreciated. I've never tried to mod a case before, and my building experience is limited.

tl;dr: can I mod a Styx to take an ATX mobo?

my x58 ATX mobo length stretched across 8 of the expansion card brackets, going by that the atx board would be through the roof of the case, are you sure yours is ATX.. maybe take a picture of it and post on here. with some dims. in answer I wouldn't think an ATX mobo wouldn't physically fit in my "opinion". Ive pasted a few other cases but all are going to be quite large.. the bitfenix ones have probably the smaller footprint, but would lack cable management features

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £364.97
(includes shipping: £39.06)

Have you looked at the NZXT S340 and the soon to be released Phanteks Eclipse P400. Both are compact mid tower cases.

I'll be buying the S340, probably.

My only other option is buying one of the overpriced secondhand micro-ATX LGA1366 x58 motherboards, and trying to sell the ATX one that's in the system currently. Then I could get the Styx like I intended.

But that's a whole thing, so yeah. S340 is likely going to be my solution. =P

The Cooler Master HAF XB looks to be fairly compact for a full ATX motherboard, it doesn't have any 5.25" bays though and has a fairly wide footprint if that's an issue.
