Fitting Compatablity Question

Hi all,

I have 14mm XSPC hard tube fittings and have been using the XSPC 14/10 hard tube with these fittings.

Are all 14mm tubes the same and work with any 14mm fitting?

I am looking at rebuilding my system with the Corsair 14mm satin tube.

In the bad old days different brands would have slightly different tolerances/exact measurements. As 14mm is a new size I'd hope that isn't the case but you may find different brands are looser/tighter.

My Alphacool 16mm acrylic is an absolute monster to get into the fittings. I've found absolutely no chance of mixing with other brands for that stuff.
 
i've had a play with AC acrylic tubing and thought they were a nightmare to use.. very easy to warp and difficult bending, and as you mentioned a monster t oget into the fittings.. even if you chamfer the tubing for god knows how long.

Thankfully i've not had issues with mixing other type of tubing (Corsair, EK, Bykski, Bitspower) to mixed branded fittings.
 
Thanks for your replies guys, I have XSPC 14mm fittings and tube at the moment. I will have a look and see how they fit.
