Hi
Its time for a new Overclocks computer ( last one i5 made in 2016)
Thinking about OcUK Tech Labs Intel 12th/13th/14th Gen Midi Gaming PC with a few changes
Kolink Stronghold Barricade Midi Tower Case - Gunmetal Grey
Intel Core i7-14700K
Sapphire Radeon RX 7600 XT Gaming OC 16GB

I use windows storage spaces and need to add two 12TB hard drives which I have.
Will they fit in case?
Can i do the fitting?

Is this good setup ?
No games some video editing DaVinci Resolve not 4k

The case can take 2 x 3.5 hard drives
Nice to see someone else
Who uses storage spaces i have used it
A very long time it's very useful

Should be able to fit them yourself

I don't use davinci resolve
So can't really answer the is it a good set up
For it part

The manufacturer's page says that it supports 2x 3.5", which I assume the 12TB hard drives are?

You will need 2x SATA cables and 2x SATA power connectors/cables. I don't know if OCUK provide the spare cables from the PSU, you'd need to ask them.

Do you use the CPU or the graphics card?

Personally, I would not be buying 14th gen at this point (especially for productivity) and would be looking at 15th gen (Core Ultra) or AM5.

Yes the k version has igpu
Kf version doesn't

Edit
Think davinci resolve supports gpu acceleration
Cuda or opencl
So while you don't need a discrete gpu
It may pay for itself in time saved
Depending how much you use it

Am I right thinking the Ultra 265k has onbroard graphics?
So for just video editing I don't need a graphics card?
It depends on the software you are using, the integrated graphics is fairly powerful for this type of usage, but hard to say if that's enough for you.

This is from the last generation which might help, but the Core Ultra IGP is different:

That's not a bad call from luckybenski
Possible other option
Phone them and ask if you send them
The hard drives
Could they fit them while building it
If its a couple of grand build they might do it
Worst they can do is say no

Depends of course
How confident you would be
If have to fit them yourself
Assuming adding them yourself doesn't intefere
With any warranty

Not a bad idea. Super high end hardware is not worth it over the mid tier stuff.
