Hi Guys,

When you fit these, the pins are on the mobo, so you just sit the CPU on the pins and clamp it down. Is that right?

Make sure you got it the right way first (when you release the lever, the socket bracket should move away from you and the black bit at the bottom of the cpu should be facing towards you). Then insert it in the socket, and clamp it down with the retention lever.

you sometimes have to be quite firm, the bracket is sometimes a bit tough to get clamped down, also make sure all of the pins in the mobo are all the way up, i had this issue with a friends board!

Also it can only go in one way, make note of the 2 notches on the cpu, they correspond with the ones on the socket. And yes it takes a fair bit of force to close "the hatch" :D
