Hello folks. I am having problems on my quest to upgrade my system. As began here http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18608177 .

I got a Corsair HX750 only to discover that it's a few mm too long (rookie mistake I know) as it is competing for space with the quite big radiator from the H60 cooler. If I unscrew the rad and fan of the cooler and move them across slightly, the PSU will fit, but the fan won't be aligned with the vents and I'm not sure how much this will affect the heat of the CPU. Preliminary tests seem like it might be ok (using that CPU temp program) but I'm not sure.

I also realised that the GFX card (HD7770) was in the wrong slot - a x4 PCIE instead of the x16, and so I moved it, but the hoses of the H60 seem rather short and now I can't quite screw it back into place completely as the hoses are going over the GFX card and are pretty tight.

What's going on here then? Do I need to use the x4 slot, and get a smaller PSU and screw the rad back down (can't crossfire then as well)? OR is the rad/fan combo OK sitting a bit off the vents? I don't particularly like that as it feels a bit like a bodge job, but the only other option seems to be buy a new CPU cooler.. which seems a bit daft.

ps: blimey the mess of cables lol

The top of the case is a bit tight with the RAM sticks and a power lead on the motherboard. It might actually fit by the back fan - bottom left in the pic. Would it be okay to attach the rad to one of the case fans instead of the supplied corsair one? I'm guessing yes and that could save a bit of space...

It can be fitted to a case fan...but the corsair one will be optimized for static pressure and will be better at pushing air through the tight rad fins.

It seems like it won't fit properly on/near any of the 3 fans at the top/back of the case. It seems that the rad itself is a bit large to align with the screw threads on the fan cases... Leave it free to move? It does kindof wedge in position and the hoses push it in place. Not ideal though.

If that is a 120mm fan at the rear of your case then the rad will fit.

Take the four long screws and washers provided by corsair and have them going into the case from the outside, then slide a fan over these four screws, then line up and fit the rad and tighten.

Or are you trying to say that something else is stopping the rad from lining up? such as the I/O ports on the motherboard?
