Got a Hyundai i20 and want to put some mud flaps on it. Phoned Hyundai garage and they quoted me £96.40 to do it.

I can buy the parts online for about £40 (geniune) but was wondering if I needed anything special to fit them and if it was easy enough to do myself?

Now obviously it depends on my skill...I don't do any car work myself other than fitting new wipers, changing a wheel, checking/refilling fluids.

I haven't inspected the wheel arches closely but I will do to see if there are pre-drilled holes or clips/whatever that looks like it's for the flaps.

Thanks!

I guess that could be another question...

Will they actually do anything noticeable?! The rear windscreen gets covered instantly when there's any water on the road, and the front doors get a lot of spray up the sides. I have to drive through a farm everyday so there's always mud about.
