Fitting socket 775 Conroe

Anyone else think that the fitting on skt775 isn't as sure as previous models etc. With my old socket A the pins dripped in the hole you fix the lever in place and the chips is secured... This chip just seems to sit on top of the socket floating around and waiting to be clamped in place by the bracket which fits completetly over the top of the chip?

Never had an issue, its keyed (hope you knew that ) and snug, plus when you clamp down its unmoveable. The land grid array design allows for higher clocks etc.. apparently. what board ya got?

This is normal

The pins are on the mobo rather than the chip.
