im having dificultiy fitting the conroe once it is in the socket imclosing the lock plate but it does not close flush with the mobo so the lever wont lock without force, and i know you are not ment to apply force.

I have a gigabyte DQ6 board. Any help urgently appreicated

Right everything is fitted and when i turn the machine on it goes to post starts to install windows and originaly was saying couldnt copy certain files. Now it gets to the point where you pick the partition and when i hit a key it powers down.

I have the Seasonic 600W psu
and a Gigabyte DQ6 board as stated.

I have fitted the 8 pin power to the 4/8 (or 2/4 depending on how these are named) the big one to the big power thing.

is there any other PSU to Board conections that i should have?

Also there is a little blue/black cable comming from the seasonic PSU should that attach to somethign as standard?

My other worry is that when i looked in BIOS at thePC health status my CPU temp was very high 85c plus.

Yeah, im sure i did.

It took a little while to fit the fan but it seems secure now, it dosnt have a specific facing does it?

The instructions with it were a bit naff :(

It has settled down since i refitted the heatsink, it must not have been fitted "just so".

Its now running at around 40c which i am happy with of the stock cooler.
