Ok, due this hot weather I'm popping up to OcUK tomorrow to get said CPU cooler. Now reading on the official site it states it comes with 'pre-applied' thermal paste. Is this correct?

So, if I've got it correct, it's just a case of removing present heatsink and fan, cleaning CPU and then afixing the 64 Pro as per instructions? I won't have to buy any new thermal paste.

Oh yeah, one quick question. What would you guy's recommend as the best thing to clean the CPU before fixing? I was going for isopropyl alcohol, but if there's anything better then I'm open to suggestions.

Thanks.

Thanks.

Taking the PSU out isn't needed though, I have plenty of room around the CPU and can get to the lever quite easily. Although, I have been thinking about getting one of those Hiper Type-R PSU's. Hmmm:D

Well I popped upto OcUK and got the Freezer Pro 64 today. Straight away the CPU is running 10C cooler than before. Apparently it takes a week for it to achieve optimum performance, so things can only get better. :)

I also got a pack of ArctiClean CPU cleaner and purifier, man it's much better than the old isopropyl-alchohol based solutions.
