Fitting the I/O back plate

I am hoping someone can offer some tips on fitting the back or 'shield' plate in the back of my CoolerMaster case. It's a nasty bit of tin with holes in it and spikey little arms that you presumably fold back out of the way of the ports and which grip the sides(?) Heck, I have no idea. I just know the fitting of it wasn't obvious at all last night and I want to get it right. From what I gather, you insert it from inside the case and it should snap in when positioned correctly? Don't those little folding arms of metal get in the way when you try to lower the motherboard in?

You've gotta force it into position, I remember the first time I had to do it I was worried about breaking something, but once they're in they really don't move for love nor money

They never seem to fit properly for me. On my PC-A05 I've forced it as hard as physically possible and it still won't snap into position properly. Once you get the mobo in it stays put though.:)

Those metal flappy bits which stick out from it over where the motherboard side .... be careful with those .. I was trying to get a tight I/O plate in a couple of years ago and managed to insert one of the flaps into the end of my thumb ... blood everywhere :(

I always bent the little clips up first then snap in into the chassis, then insert the mobo, just watch you don't scratch the bottom of the mobo on the mounting clips/studs hold in place while you put a screw on the screwdriver with your third hand :)
