As title. Fitted the True Black to my board with a couple of fans in a push/pull setup. The only thing is I can still swivel the HSF left and right even though the sprung screws are as tight as they can go. Can anyone shed any light into what I may have done wrong. Im sure its something stupid but I just cant get my head round it after a long day at work. should have left it for the weekend.

Bracket on the right way around? I nearly did it myself on a different HSF (brackets would not actually fit that way round though so I figured it was faulty!) How hard do you have to twist to make it move? You can exert a lot of leverage on that big heatsink.

I get a little bit of movement on mine as well but it doesnt feel loose, takes a bit of pressure to twist it, regarding the bracket, due to its design it can only go on the one way.

You could try placing a rubber washer between the bracket and the surface of the cooler, this may also help to even temps as well.

re

mine moves also about a quarter half inch to the left or right....its is still perfectly snug in the processor and my temps are very low and quite normal...i think it moving a little is normal:)

lets hope so. got a new q9650 sitting under it and want to hit 4ghz stable for 24/7 use. oh and its all inside (well will be when its finished) a brand new lian li v2010 tower. great service from oc as ever but god only knows what dhl done with the box. its dented all over. luckily the actual case is ok apart from a internal part is a liitle bent up.

Same 'problem' with my TRUE, i think a fair few people have suggested fitting extra washers/spacers to help increase the tension. I was considering this when I thought, if it ain't broke don't fix it!

If the temps became a problem or I was looking to OC further I may consider fiddling with it, but until then just enjoy the cool cool temps
