i am wanting to fit some vents to our windows upstairs.
i have looked around and they seem easy to do.

i have a quick question though, i am not able to fit them right at the top of the window frame because we cant get access to the top of the window on the outside because of a conservatory.

can i install them where the yellow is in the picture ?
my windows are like these.

Unlikely to have enough space there, what with the double glaze unit, it's too narrow I think.

Just had a look at some double glazed frames I have, & trickle ventilator slot is about 9mm (3/8") wide.

my window has enough room where the yellow bit is.
i was using that pic as a reference.
i just need to know if its ok to install them where the yellow is in the pic.

Usually you fit a ventilator at the top rail of a window, so you might get condensation on the glass above the ventilator if you fit it in the middle rail.

Sure there is nothing mentioned in Building Regs as to fitting position, but you might have a few issues if you ever sell your house.
