Stable on prime95 for two and bit hours at that voltage also 10 loops on very high Intel Burn Test. Too high a voltage for my liking anyway. Good whilst it lasted. Temps on my highest core got to 75c - which is my max cut off point.

Looks like this will be my final over clock, much less voltage required:

Stable so far on prime95, will give it about 3 hours max then do some video rendering or gaming to see if its ok.

After that, onto my HD 7950 :D

gratz nice vcore too

Thanks, i tried 48 and 49 multis but they still needed about 1.39 volts and 48 multi only managed about 17 mins on prime 95.

47 multi when initially testing i did manage on 1.285 volts but wasnt really stable when stability testing, looks like 1.3v is the optimal for me (still going very stable on P95 as i type), highest core is 64c coolest at the same time 56c.

Im happy with it.

Being cooled by a custom CPU loop: 1 x RX360 rad with noctua nf f12s at 1200rpm. CPU block is the wonderful Raystorm.

Confirmed my final OC at 47 multi with 1.30v. LLC pushes it to 1.32v when really stressed otherwise it stays at 1.30v.
Hottest core was 63c.

Well chuffed for my firstime overclocking.

Now, wheres that HD 7950

great stuff, that's what im aiming for but cant acheive yet due to my temperatures!
what about your RAM too? :)

Tbh im not 100% sure how you go about oc'ing ram. I have two sticks of hyperx genesis 1600 ram. Got them on their XMP Setting which is 1600 @ 1.65 volts. They are rated for that. Anyone feel free to guide me and i will give it a go.
Mobo is z77 up7.
