PROBLEM: Crashing at the end of every round (BF3.exe has stopped working) just before the scores come up and not being able to play single player.

I read a thread today on battlelog.battlefield.com showing how to fix the problem and it worked for me.

SOLUTION: If you own an ASUS card (ATi or NV) and you installed the 'Smart Doctor' and/or 'ASUS Gamer' software then this is what's VERY likely causing you end of round crashes. All you need to do is uninstall Smart Doctor and/or ASUS Gamer, restart your computer and reinstall your video card drivers - that's it!!!

This has worked for me and I have had no crashes since. If you are having the same problem and this solution works for you then please post back confirmation for the rest of the community. Again, thanks to the original poster of this solution, you can have my hand in marriage!!!!!!!

EDIT: This problem may not be limited just to ASUS cards. If you have another brand of GFX card and installed overclocking software or any other software that came with it, try uninstalling it then reinstall your drivers and try the game again.

If you want to overclock your card use MSI afterburner.

Hope it helps

I have an Asus 4890 and run the SmartDoctor software (v5.80) without any issue. You don't need the Asus Gamer software. MSI Afterburner will not overclock my card so I have no choice if I wish to retain my OC.

The fix worked for me, I have an ASUS ATI 6850 and had both Smartdoctor and Gamer OSD installed. It was not enough to disable Gamer OSD I had to uninstall it completly. Smartdoctor is still installed but I always exit it and opt to keep the overclock settings.

It was really frustrating me thanks for the fix.
