A month or so ago the fingerprint scanner on my Pixel 7 stopped working. The phone was running Android 13 and Android 14 update has just come out, I installed the update, but the scanner still didn't work. The phone is in warranty so I called Google support and they directed me to a phone shop nearby. I brought the phone and they fixed it in 2 minutes - I asked what was the problem and they said they reinstalled the fingerprint sensor driver.
Yesterday the fingerprint scanner on my girlfriend's Samsung Galaxy S20 FE Exynos stopped working (WTF?). I downloaded a firmware from sammobile.com and flashed it using Odin (AP, BL, CP and CSC), but that didn't help. As there are no visible marks on the screen I hope it's a software problem - any idea how to fix it?
