I've got a Samsung 215TW monitor, about 8-9 months ago it started making an annoying buzzing/whining noise which has got progressively worse, it's pretty much unbearable now (I've got annoyingly sensitive hearing, some other people can't even hear it
).
It's under warranty but because it doesn't actually affect the picture quality Samsung refuse to replace it. The noise level changes depending on what colour is at the top of the screen (plain black & white make it loudest). It makes the noise no matter what brightness/settings are configured.
Does anyone know if there's anything I can do to try and fix it? Is it worth taking it apart (does it sound like something that would be fixable?), or should I just buy a new monitor?
