So, I've always suffered from screen tearing, but always used D3D overrider to force v-sync and triple buffering, and its done wonders over the years.
But as I've just got myself 2 5950's, and D3D/Rivatuner.. doesn't support these cards yet. I'm pretty much going crazy.

Is there any other software out there that can do something similiar, or anyone else have some suggestions?

Can't you just force it in the CCC or whatever it's called these days (been a few years since I had an ATI).

Well i can force V-sync but it doesn't make a difference barely without triple buffering. Which is opengl only.

Get a 120hz monitor so your not restricted to 60fps max.

I'm running 3 monitors, so unless you wanna donate some cash ;) that's out of the question.

Maybe a silly question but what drivers are you using? On my 4870x2 I used to get horrible tearing in BF2 on 10.9 drivers. I then moved 10.12 and it was all a okay

Have the same problem since moving to the 6970. Running 3 monitor eyefinity with 10.12 hotfix drivers. Have vsync on but it doesn't seem to make a difference. Never had this problem with the 5870.

Not having triple buffering will hurt performance with vsync enabled but you can still enable it with D3D, it can run without riva installed.

Well just done abit of testing again then, 100% aint working, must be the drivers i guess. Although this is a new install, pretty much ticked that off my list.

Found the problem, and as quoted from the rage3d forums.
If DP monitor is set as the preferred display, then screen tearing occurs on both DVI monitors.

If either DVI monitor is set as the preferred display, then screen tearing occurs only on the DP monitor.
I've seen this scattered across others sites too but as multi monitor gaming is still quite a niche, I can't see no fixes atm. I'm hoping it's just a driver bug as this is almost unbearable.

I get screen tearing in dirt 2 and ffxiv 14 but not in black ops or sc2 so I guess it is driver related or just how the games themselves are optimized

I hope it is, as my 5870 is perfect. I'm a tad tempted to slap that back in till a fix gets released.

I assume you were implying in Eyefinity as this seems to be an Eyefinity issue only.
