I'm having a bit of a mare trying to fit some microwave brackets in the kitchen, normally I would use the plasterboard fixings where the outer part spreads behind the board but when I tighten the screw this board just seems to easily get destroyed. I have also tried the cone shaped fixing where you screw it in the fixing screw goes into that but when trying to screw in to the outer it starts spinning and comes away from the board.

Any ideas to save my sanity? Hopefully a simple solution as I'm a diy disaster.

Still through to the wall and use rawl plugs, just be careful that you don't over tighten and pull the plasterboard into the wall. Or find a baton and screw into that.

Not sure I will be able to line them up with batons as I don't have a lot of room to play with where it can be located.

So my best bet would be to drill through the board and into the breezeblocks behind then knock in some plugs and use long screws?

Is this going to support a microwave?

Hopefully

Yeah I think so, I'm no expert but that's what I would do. Have hung a few TV's that way and it worked fine, just watch out for cables etc.
