Hello guys

I'm in need of advice on how to best to repair/reseal the underside of a car. My other half had so someone suddenly stop on her so she mounted a tall curb to avoid running into them. As a result of the underside has been severely scratched to bare metal. It's year only seat mii and she's really upset, would it i be ok getting away with: cleaning to sound metal with file and wire brush (tooth brush type), etch prime, zinc based prime. Finally waxoil afterwards.

I know i am meant to paint after primes but i only have tomorrow and late Monday to work on the car.

Or can i do any other shortcuts and still to a standard that will cope with the weather?

sorry if the question sounds stupid. I really don't know a lot about paint.

Thanks rob

For a quick repair I'd probably just wire brush, prime, then apply some kind of textured coating like Gravitex, Schutz or Stonechip. No need to overpaint any of those really.

If you've already bought it, don't worry about it. It just doesn't last like dinitrol nor has as much rust inhibiting action.
