Hi.

I have a Zowie FK14 & the coating is starting to come away on the top, now its strange as I'm a finger tip user & the area is unaffected by wear !

ZOWIE GEAR FIXES COATING ISSUE

8th of May 2014, Huntington Beach – ZOWIE GEAR confirms the coating issue with FK’14 and EC eVo CL has been fixed.

After having received complaints from customers about the coating of FK and EC eVo CL peeling off, ZOWIE GEAR has conducted thorough research to figure out the reason for this to happen and how to fix it.

The coating issue only affected some units from the first batch of the FK'14 and EC eVo CL series and has now been resolved. All recent & upcoming products will not be affected by this issue.

We understand how annoying this issue is for any serious gamer so we want to apologize to everyone that bought this mouse and had a bad experience with their unit.

All customers that experience the peeling issue should contact the retailer or local distributor so the faulty unit can be replaced by a fully functional one as soon as possible.

Once again we would like to say sorry to all the gamers that support and trust us and had a bad experience with EC eVo CL or FK’14. It is our commitment to do our best every time to guarantee the quality of our products fulfills our expectations of pushing forward the competitive gaming standard.

Zowie have confirmed on there web site that its an issue but doesn't state that it has to be within the warranty ?

I bought the FK in May 2014.

Anyone know how I stand here in getting a replacement ?

No support from OCuk even though it has a 24 month warranty.

Say its over 12 month & to go to Zowie direct.

This may take awhile ?

Many thanks Zowie ! Great service, new mouse sent without any fuss. Will be buying the brand again. Next will be that new mouse mat !!!

What if they didn't replace it would you still say you'd buy from them again?
A month turn around compared to Logitech's few days is a joke tbh.

Yes I would if they explained the reasoning behind their decision but it wasn't the case here. They were clear to me before I sent it off that it was affected.

I sent it on the 20th & got it today so it a fair turn-a-round.

They aren't the size & might of Logitech, the turn-a-round was no worse than Corsair if I'm honest.

If they didn't replace it then it wouldn't of been a massive problem as I'd had it for over a year & most other brands will see a product for one year.
