Flac + itunes

Hi guys,

I have an airport express i use to stream my music, however it appears iTunes does not support any flac music, unless I am mistaken?

It does not seem to add it into the library anyway.

What would be the best way to go about it

Have a look HERE and download Fluke; you're limited to 44.1k@16bit FLAC's though.

Should really mention, I am running it under windows :O

Do you know of a better solution to stream my media without paying 1k for a streaming device?

I have a popcorn hour but the interface sucks for browsing music.

I also like the idea of having the ipod touch as a remote.

Any suggestions would be grand.

convert your flac collection to apple lossless. as you have apple hardware, you might as well.

dbpoweramp can do the lot in one fell swoop. it aint free but has a fully functional 21 day trial which should be plenty of time to do it.

Another option is to ditch iTunes and use a combination of Winamp (etc) and Airfoil (costs $25 i believe) or Remote Speakers Output plugin.

Convert to ALAC with dbpoweramp.

Seconding this motion. I use the GUI version of XLD to convert FLAC to Apple Lossless.
