Hi All,

I have a huge collection of FLAC files that need converting to MP£ and was wodneirng if anyone knows of a decent freeware utility that will do it for me. I have looked at the collection on the stick list, but there are tons here.

Ideally I would like one that I can select several files and right click and convert.

Any suggestions.

Cheers

what media player do you use? foobar has a built in convertor that'll convert anything it can play. i use it to convert my music when i want to stick some on my mp3 player:)

WMP or VLC depending on what I'm doing, WMP for ripping and VLC for listening. Tried foobar last night and did not really like the layout.

dBpoweramp is brilliant, I'd defiantly recommend it. It's totally free, you just don't get advanced features which you wont need anyway!

dbpoweramp. excellent program, free to try for 21 days

Right, got this one but everyitme I try and convert it keep scoming up with errors as trhere is no flac decoder installed. Suggestions? Very much a noob when it comes to codecs etc

OK Lads got the codec now everything seems fine, cracking prog by the looks of it and does what I want it to do.

Cheers all.

go back to the DL page and look at the "after downloading" links. One of them is a codec pack

So change it. ;) Columns UI is dead easy to configure.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v513/Trifid/foobars.gif < has changed slightly since then. Simple to convert with Foobar requiring just a right click on selected tracks and choosing convert.

Why would you wont to convert flac to mps

MP3 player?
