FLAC & MPC to MP3 convertor.

Use lame.exe and foobar, you should have foobar installed anyways :p Even if not using it as your normal music player, it makes a great quick play music player. I use media monkey for my music, but if i want to load up an mp3/flac/whatever from the shell quick i don't want to wait for MediaMonkey to load, hence why i use foobar :)

Portable devices such as MP3 players and iPods don't support FLAC. Thats the main reason for converting into MP3.

Apparently Rockbox (custom iPod firmware) does support FLAC :).

But I agree with everyone else; use foobar.

The Rockbox firmware does indeed support flac. and adds a number of other very useful features....I used it on an iAudio MP3 player to add speaking menues....

But rockbox really isn't as nice to use or as pretty to look at as the default ipod firmware. I wanted flac and tried my best to "adapt" to rockbox, but its got a long way to go, and i dont think it'll ever make it. If you look at the touch, how would it ever compete?
