Flac to MP3

You can many of apps to do this. Tags aren't retained as FLAC are tagged with Vorbis comments (if they are properly made) but most programs will convert these to ID tags. One of the easiest to use is dbpoweramp with the LAME codec. You can't get better results than this.

select your mp3 options

I use this to copy my flac files to itunes

A second vote here for dbpoweramp. I use it all the time to convert between various formats and it has a nice plugin architecture. Some of the encoders (LAME for example) are also optimised for multi core CPUs.

Since OP is looking for the easiest way, i'd definitely choose dbpoweramp over foobar2000 and EAC as it requires next to no setting up and is the most intuitive of the options. EAC and Foobar2000 are excellent programs in their own right though; Foobar2000 is my audio player and i use EAC for ripping to FLAC.
