¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I watch quite a few flash videos now and my Macbook is struggling especially with 720p stuff... Probably because it's almost 5 years old now.

Anyway, I've tried bootcamp and win7 recently, and flash seems to be a little smoother under Win7 compared to OSX but I don't know for sure.

Is there a website that benchmarks flash performance so I can tell for sure which is the best platform to run flash content?

Thanks.

Pretty sure Flash lacks hardware acceleration on anything other than Windows - or if it does it isn't as good, making it the best platform for that content.

If its youtube then most of their videos are now available to view using html5 rather than flash.

Thanks, is there a way to force HTML5 when on youtube? It would be nice if I could get 720p stuff smoother under OSX...

I mainly watch Justin.tv and Blip.tv, so with any luck these services also offer HTML5 streams in addition to their Flash ones...

Have a quick google about youtube html5 beta. It will explain how to set your preference for youtube to html5 rather than flash.
