Hi would like some knowledge on flash bios update on gigabyte z790 aero g motherboard ,i am currently using a i9 14900k cpu and have my cpu in 125 watt mode to keep the temps low ,whilst i try to work out what to do with it ,the cine bench score is 2225 single core and multi core 31036 with dropped power ,but would like to solve the issue of heat on cpu when stressing it ,some you tubers and on this forum state that microcode 0X12b allevates this some what ,maybe with a combination of undervolting which i have little experience of utilizing ,Do i need to update the bios with flash udpate there are 13 down loads for this on the gigabyte website do i have to update in chronological order or can i just pick the appropriate download any info much appreciated

Yes just downloaded gigabyte controller centre i am on latest revisions now F13b ,weird, i run the cine bench tests again with 250w instead of 125 w Multicore result was 36772 but i had applications running in back ground luminar neo and lightroom and microsoft edge it still got hot though but when i run the single core turned off all apps the score did not improve drastically over 125w power 2240 pts v 2225pts ,so i guess the 250w power running only improves multi core usage ,now where can i get better temps for multi core uasge as the single core usage run at 72 where as yesterday it ran 79 in the cinebench so i guess the latest bios updates has improved slightly over previous .My next choice i guess is set a undervolt bias ? but not to savy as they say.

ok thanks to be honest it kind of runs best on stock set up i am not going to be overclocking ,although looking to get a better cinebench score getting closer to a good score got a 37,000+ in multicore ,the undervolt thing confused me i ended up resetting bios i have now gone with 0.05 undervolt to begin with ,my speed problem is more storage related with external hard drives and lightroom catalogues ,and trying to have a form of redundacy ,and online cloud back up ,and working out what i can do with old pc ,selling off parts is it worth it? would anyone here be interested although parts are old now ?
