Quick question,

Will flashing the motherboard bios, removing any saved OC configurations, on a gigabyte X58A mobo ?

you should always re o/c when going to a new bios anyway, if your worried go into the bios before hand and save the bios to a pen or HDD flash and then try it nothing to lose
