Looking for something more powerful than in-built and that won't drain the internal battery of my a6000. However, my experience using a flash for portrait/still product photography is pretty limited. Not sure if I'll need TTL or if I should learn to go full manual which gives me more buying options. Don't really want to spend more than around £50-60. Any ideas?

In my experience ttl is essential. I'd never get a shot off if trying to set manually.

This is what I'm thinking. For still subject matter indoors I wouldn't be too concerned, but for people I'd imagine it would be a nightmare initially.

Nissin i40, use one on my A7R, absolutely perfect for mirrorless cameras, packs the power of a much larger flash into a small package.

Yeah great flash and I would have recommended it but way out of Op's price range????? Unless they have come down a lot since I last looked???
