Flash gels

So i need a set of flash gels, i have seen some sets that are quite dear and others that are cheap.

My question is what should i go for?

I bought a cheap set off ebay a few years ago. I've not had any need to replace them.

Go to a stage hire company and ask for a gel sample book. The swatches will probably be big enough to use with a speed light.

This, short email to the company asking for a sample pack, then fashioned a holder out of an old stoffen style diffuser.

I bought these and they are good.

You attach a supplied velcro strap to the end of the flash head and then the gels attach using velcro dots that are applied to the gels.

I got some free samples from somewhere a few years back when someone mentioned it on these here forums... You'd be welcome to them if you wish.

I got those Lee Filters from the advice in the OCUK thread.

Had to e-mail a lot of companies, as some said they charge a small fee for sample filters, which at least one company said they would reimburse if I bought something from them. I guess as loads of people obviously use sample filters in this way.

I did get them free from somebody, but ideally it would be good to have a couple more of the same, so you can use the same gel across all flashes when needed.

tbh im just gonna buy some, at £9 they are not a great deal of money
