Is anyone else having problems viewing Flash on IE8?

For the past few weeks one of our internal graphic guys has been running Flash files, on IE8 under Windows XP.

Last week however we had to upgrade his machine to Vista (Ultimate) and since then he's unable to view and Flash files.

Likewise I've just gone onto one of our sites and I too can't see the flash, yet a few other XP users in the company (with IE8) can see it perfectly. I'm using IE8 + Windows 7 RC

Have done a quick search on Google and apparently it's a known fault, but there doesn't seem to be any definate fix or solution.

Was wondering if any of you lot had experienced this problem and arrived at a solution?

No issue at all here. Im running Win 7 RC with IE8 and flash works perfectly. It worked fine in Vista with IE8 too. Tried going to adobe.com and getting latest version of flash player? Might be worth doing it anyway to see if you can re-install if you are already running the latest version.

Yeah done that I'm afraid.

This is the link that's not working (or for me/us anyway)

Can you see if that works for you please?

Interesting - that doesn't work for me in Vista/FF3 or Vista/IE8.

Makes me think it's more a player issue than browser/OS.

Exactly!

Yet it plays perfect in IE7 and/or FF2.

The majority of our customers can see it fine as they there's a lot still on IE7, but those moving onto IE8 are starting to say "What's happening?"

But thing is, if it was IE8 + Flash, then how come the likes of YouTube works?

Kinda got me baffled a bit.

It must be the code you're using to insert Flash. I tried to check Browsershots to see if it was broken in more browsers, but you've blocked Browsershots accessing the site.
