Flash Playback Issue

Ok this might sound like a really dumb question but I can't seem to get flash videos (web) playing correctly. I keep getting a glitchy colour effect at points but the playback rate remains smooth. I've tried looking elsewhere online but can't seem to find any help.

I've downloaded new drivers for my graphics card (ATI 6870) and reinstalled the latest version of flash on all 3 different web browsers (IE, firefox and chrome) but the issue still remains despite everything.

I have no idea where to go from here? The same videos play absolutely fine on my crappy laptop which has integrated graphics. Any advice would be brilliant. Thanks

Try disabling Hardware acceleration to see if it makes any difference:

Start > Control Panel.
Double click Personalization and select Display Settings.
Click Advanced Settings.
Click Change Settings on the Troubleshooting tab.
Move the Hardware Acceleration slider to None.
Click Apply and then click OK to accept the new setting and close the dialog box.
Click OK to close the Display Properties dialog box.
Restart Windows.

Thanks,

It won't allow me to change my settings in the troubleshoot tab. Is there a way of doing this through the ATI catalyst center?

I don't have an ATI card so can't advise on that im afraid but another way to disable it is by right clicking whilst watching a Flash video and then selecting settings. From here you should see an option for hardware acceleration which you can try turning off to see if it makes any difference.
